If you did, it probably impressed you. Well, if you were impressed by the life of a fictional character leaving alone on a island, then this may impress you as well. Presenting to you, the real life Robinson Crusoe – David Glasheen.
David Glasheen is an Australian man, who has been living on a small Restoration Island for 20 years. The island is located off the north-eastern coast of Australia. He is living there since 1993.
Back then, he was a high-flying Sydney businessman, but he lost £6.5 million in the 1987 stock market crash.

He is keeping himself alive with eating crabs and coconuts, learning to be self-sufficient. He has even connected to solar-powered internet. But, he is not completely alone there, his dog Quasi is his company. After all, the dog is men’s best friend.
